A top-of-the-hour break on KQED in San Francisco, from December 1990. It is followed by the closing sequence of Mystery! One of the promos featured is for the station's local Murder on the Bay event, a tie-in with the Mystery! series, announcing the cruise for March 1991.
Weekend segments from the summer 1988 WGBH Pledge Drive, during a re-broadcast of "Simon & Garfunkel: The Concert in Central Park" (1981), which also promotes the sales of its companion albums. Elliot Francis is co-host (a former WBZ-TV personality, he is now married to actress Arnetia Walker). The lady hosting with him is someone I can't identify..please help? lol.
Airdate: August 21, 1988
The third season intro to The All-New Mickey Mouse Club (MMC), with the first major cast additions since its premiere. This was the only season opener that to date had never been included on YouTube seperately...save for the 1990 reunion show with the 1950s Mouseketeers.
I don't have much more MMC material of any kind at this time, so please keep the requests on that to a minimum. Thanks.
General Hospital closing credits from February 8, 1984, a pre-Friday sequence with dayplayer cast. Look for Demi Moore, John Stamos (in his last months as Blackie Parrish) and Barry Williams - imagine that, Greg Brady as an English con man associating with Holly Scorpio!
A series of station promos from member-supported KQED 9 in San Francisco, aired in December 1988. They are all preceded by the closing from Great Performances. Among the promos are a KQED pledge drive update and New Years Eve 1989 in Vienna...with Walter Cronkite!
The opening sequence to As the World Turns, from July 1988. Preceeding it is a brief clip of Paul Stenbeck (Andrew Kavovit) and Lien Hughes (Ming-Na Wen) - Paul celebrated his 16th birthday in this episode. Also features Dan Region in the midst of his glory.
