Ummmm... my solo for this year's recital. It wasn't as polished as I would've liked it to be, because I started learning the dance about 2 months before the performance date. It's definitely not my best. :(
The music for this dance came from a very famous Chinese film made in the 60s. The literal translation would be something like Why is the Flower so Red. Lol...
The name of this dance comes from a poem describing the quaint, graceful beauty of the lotus flower. This dance won first place in Senior Chinese Classical Dance division in 8th Taoli Competition.
Our version of Tao Yao. Out of all the dances that I did, this one has to be my favorite. =) The video quality was really bad because I couldn't find decent movie maker program. Any suggestions?
